1. Who we are
im.center is run by Lucian Medrihan, a private individual based in Rome, Italy ("we"), not by a company. Contact: hello@im.center.
2. What im.center is
im.center is a public leaderboard of paid promotional placements. Every profile has a total: the sum of the payments made for it. The profile with the highest total is "the center"; every tag (#gaming, #pets…) has its own center: the profile with the highest total among those with that tag.
Every profile on im.center is promotional content, and ranks reflect money paid, nothing else. They are not an endorsement, a review or a measure of quality, popularity or trustworthiness.
Some profiles are created free with an invite code from us. Their total starts at zero, so every profile that has been paid for ranks ahead of them; where nobody has paid yet, one of them can be the center until the first payment there.
3. Profiles
To create a profile you give a name, a photo, one tag (a topic, like #gaming, or a city, like #rome), optional links and an email address, and make a first payment of at least €2, or use an invite code from us. The profile appears once the payment is confirmed or, with an invite code, as soon as it passes our checks. An invite code only makes creating the profile free: it can't be combined with a payment at creation and doesn't apply to boosts. Its total counts in the overall leaderboard and in its tag's. The tag can't be changed later; to be in another tag, make another profile (one email can own several, also in the same tag). We may rename, merge or hide a tag, and a hidden tag no longer shows on profiles.
Your profile is also a page of links at im.center/handle. You can choose one of our colour themes for it, reorder your links, and show a link as a card with the title and preview image of the page it points to. To make a link card we fetch that title and image once, when you turn the card on, check them like a profile photo and keep copies; you confirm you may use them, and you can turn the card off at any time. For a link to a site that isn't a known platform, we also fetch that site's own icon once and show it next to the link.
Your profile page shows no amounts: no total, supporters or messages. By default its tag badges show your rank, with an info icon that says ranks are paid placements; you can turn the rank off in your dashboard, and then only plain tags show. Amounts, ranks and the "Paid placement" label stay on the leaderboards, tag pages and the home page, and on each profile's boost page (im.center/boost/handle), where anyone can pay for it.
While your profile is the center of im.center's home page, or of a tag's page, that page shows your center background: one of our presets, your theme colour, or an image you upload (checked like a profile photo, stored by us, and removed when you choose another or your profile is removed). It must follow the same rules as your profile.
We make images that show your profile: share posters, a link preview card (your photo, name, tags and address, shown when someone shares your link on other sites) and a badge with your rank that you can place on your own site. They update when your profile or rank changes.
You also pick a handle: your profile's address, im.center/handle. Names can repeat; handles are unique, and handles that look alike (for example "daisy", "dai5y" and "daisy_") count as the same. You can't change your handle, so links you share keep working. Handles that are reserved, or that could pass for im.center itself, can't be used.
im.center is for adults: you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create a profile or pay for one. You must be allowed to promote whoever or whatever the profile represents. You are responsible for everything on your profile and behind its links.
4. What isn't allowed
No sexual or adult content or links to adult platforms; no hate, harassment, threats or violence; no scams, phishing, malware or deceptive links; no illegal goods or services; no impersonation; nothing that infringes someone else's rights. No URL shorteners or redirectors. No promotion of financial products or investments, trading, crypto-assets, gambling or betting.
These rules apply to everything on im.center: profiles, link cards, the names supporters choose and the messages left with boosts. Text, photos, link cards, names and messages are checked automatically before they appear and again after every edit, and people can report profiles. We may hide or remove any profile, link card or message that breaks these terms or the law, at any time and without notice.
5. Handles and impersonation
Don't pretend to be someone else. A name, handle, photo or link may not suggest that a profile belongs to, or is endorsed by, a person, creator, brand or organisation when it isn't. Fan, parody and commentary profiles must say so clearly in their name or tagline.
How handles work: every profile picks a handle once, when it's created, and it becomes the profile's address (im.center/handle). Handles are first come, first served, and handles that look alike count as the same, so nobody can register "dai5y" or "daisy_" next to "daisy". Owners can't change their handle; only we can, in the cases below.
We don't verify identities. A profile using someone's name doesn't mean that person runs it or endorses it.
How to claim your name: if a profile uses your name, brand or likeness, or holds the handle that obviously belongs to you, use "Report" on the profile and choose "Pretending to be someone else", or write to hello@im.center with the subject "Impersonation: im.center/handle". Include proof that you are that person or act for that brand, for example a post from your official account that mentions im.center, or an email sent from your brand's own domain. We may ask for more and we reply as soon as we can.
When a claim holds up, we may hide the profile, change its handle (with or without a redirect from the old one), and give the handle to the person or brand it belongs to, if they have or create a profile. Handles are not property: we decide these cases at our discretion and may change any handle that misleads. Payments for profiles hidden or changed because of impersonation are not refunded.
6. Payments
Payments are in euro, minimum €2 each, processed by Stripe. Anyone can pay for any live profile ("Boost", on its boost page); a payment adds its full amount to that profile's total. A boost is a payment to im.center for a placement: it raises the profile's rank and total, and the person or business behind the profile receives no money from it. "Become #1" amounts are calculated at the moment you start the payment; if someone pays more before yours is confirmed, your payment still counts but may not make you #1.
When you boost someone else's profile you can add the name to show and a short message for the owner (up to 140 characters, no links). Neither is shown on the profile: the owner gets your message by email and sees your name and message in their dashboard. A message doesn't change the payment: it is still a payment for a placement, and the withdrawal-right consent below is yours, as the payer.
Payments are final. Totals, ranks and placements are not refundable, including when someone later passes you.
Removed content is not refunded. If a profile is hidden or removed because it breaks these terms or the law, the payments made for it are not refunded.
If a payment is refunded or charged back, its amount is taken off the profile's total. A disputed payment doesn't count while the dispute is open. If a payment is disputed, we send the payment provider and the bank the records of the order and of the placement's delivery (see the privacy policy).
7. Right of withdrawal (EU)
A placement is a digital service delivered immediately after payment. Before paying you are asked to agree to this wording:
I ask im.center to deliver my placement immediately. I understand that it is delivered as soon as my payment is confirmed and that I therefore lose my 14-day right of withdrawal.
By agreeing, you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the placement is delivered (Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m)). We store your consent with the payment.
8. Your content and our license
You keep the rights to what you upload or bring in (photos, text, link cards, messages). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, resize and share it on im.center, in its share posters, link preview cards and badges, and in previews on other sites, for as long as the profile exists (for a message, as long as it is shown), and in backups for up to 30 days after it is removed. Link preview cards already shared on other sites can stay reachable for up to 30 days after they are replaced.
9. Editing and ownership
There are no accounts. You sign in with single-use links sent to the profile's email address; one sign-in covers every profile that address owns and lasts up to 30 days on that device. Keep access to that inbox: whoever controls it controls the profiles.
10. Liability
im.center is provided as is. We don't guarantee any amount of traffic, visibility or results, or that the site will always be available. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Changes, law and disputes
We may change these terms. The version shown when you pay applies to that payment, and we record which version you accepted. Profile owners are told by email about changes that matter.
These terms are governed by Italian law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
